Our Founder
I was born in Albuquerque NM, where my dad was stationed for boot camp before going to Vietnam. I only was there a few months before we moved to Texas where I was raised. I grew up in a small town just outside of Austin called Round Rock, now the home of Dell Computers. My parents and two younger brothers moved to Murrieta in 1989 just after I graduated high school.
I met my husband Don in April 1993 at a tour stop in Riverside for the professional bowlers tour. The following year to save on long distance phone bills he convinced me to travel the world with him on the tour. I had a blast seeing the US and Japan. I had received a cosmetology license in high school so to keep busy and earn some money on the tour I did all the pro’s hair. (To the bowlers out there, nothing like seeing Walter Ray in perm rods! )
Although the tour was fun it did get old fast living in a different hotel each week. I packed up and came home and saw Don when I could. I got a job at The Little Professor Book Company as the GM working for Sandy Dodson. I loved working for Sandy and I owe a lot of my success today to him.
Don quit the tour in 1997, we got married and moved in Grand Rapids Michigan. I started Impact in February 1999 and moved back to CA in 2004 to start an office here so I could be closer to my parents.
GAINS:
Goals: Personal: I want to start working out and lose 30 pounds. Professional: I want to reach 1 million in sales and have 5 uniform program clients. I also want to find an investor for a new company that I want to start.
Accomplishments: Personal: My son’s, Bowled a 278 working on a 300. Professional: Have helped several companies increase revenue, owned and operated Impact for almost 12 years!
Interests: Hobbies- Bowling, Working, Gardening, Creating, Camping, Traveling, and Horseback riding (don’t get to do though!)
Networks: BNI, TVCC, MCC, ABWA, WBENC Certified, New Generations Rotary, ASI and PPAI. One the advisory board for Michelle’s Place
Skills: I am very creative and am always thinking of new business ventures; Great at connecting people; Starting and running new businesses; Marketing; Branding; Corporate events; and MUCH more!
